The Scotsman has outdone itself with a scare story about residents along the tram route not being allowed to wash their windows.
Well, that's what the headline claims. The story itself doesn't say that, it just says that residents will be warned that if they're washing their windows then they should stay away from the overhead wires.
Which you would think would be common sense. But why let the facts get in the way of a good story?
I look forward to more ludicrous scare stories as the trams get closer to deployment - I'm sure The Scotsman already has an eight-page supplement lined up for the first time a tram collides with a car.
