Meat-Free Mondays Are Go!

As you know I've signed up for 10:10, the pledge to reduce my carbon emissions by 10% in 2010 and I've been pondering just how to do this.

One of the best things you can do for the environment is to become vegetarian, but I'm not yet prepared to do that. I'm a confirmed carnivore!

But what would be easier is to go veggie just one day a week, so I'm joining the Meat-Free Monday wagon.

Actually, I've said before on here that although I'm a meat eater I often find the vegetarian items on a menu more appealing, so going Meat-Free one day a week shouldn't be too difficult.

I only foresee one difficulty: work. Normally I'll put meat on my sandwiches so I'm going to have to come up with some alternative fillings, or maybe even alternatives to sandwiches completely. Rather than a chore, I'm trying to think of coming up with new food items as an adventure.

Now, here's Paul McCartney with a bad American accent:

good luck! I'm sure you won't find it difficult. I'm hoping to go vegan one day a week, though any more than that would be a no.

Oh dear. I was about to commit to joining you in Meat Free Monday, but Paul has fairly given me the dry boak with that little ditty.

Unfortunately, I don't think he's written a good song since 'The Frog Chorus'.
